Create a separate hierarchical structure of positions, which allows for the planning and assignment of resources that are needed in the organization, independent from actual employee assignments.
- Workforce/Headcount Planning: supports the creation of a “future state” that is used for workforce planning and compliance.
- Budgeting: headcount controls supported.
- Data Integrity: ensures employee Job Information is consistent (the Position object drives organizational data like Department, Location and Job Code)
